They say the best way to learn a new language is to spend some time in a country that speaks it. The same is true when it comes to deciding whether to buy a new product or subscribe to a new service: Find out what people who use it have to say.
They will have a more valuable opinion than any reviewer for a mainstream outlet, as they were looking to solve a pain-point with the purchase and are handing over their hard-earned cash to use, not reviewing it to meet a deadline.
Of course, that’s easier said than done. How do you find a group of people and ask them to share their Noom reviews? That’s where we come in — we’ve curated a catalog of Noom reviews from real people, presented in a structured way.

We’ve read through thousands of Noom reviews and if we had to summarize them all we’d say: Noom is not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. Spend time reading and practicing the lessons it shares about sustaining a healthy, balanced diet and you’ll see results.
It’s this sharing of knowledge that Noom excels at. It gets you thinking about your relationship with food, which is the secret to losing weight and keeping it off. It helps you understand what you can eat and how much, and master portion control.
These aren’t new concepts that Noom is sharing — it’s stuff we’ve known about for decades. What Noom does though is make it easier to understand the information and put it into practice, through color-coded food groups and calorie-counting.
The intention isn’t that you’ll be calorie-counting forever but rather after building the habit you’ll be more conscious about what you’re eating and will almost make the association in your head as your understanding of nutrition continues to develop.
Overall, most customers were thrilled with service with 61% of the 57,000 Noom reviews on Trustpilot marked as Excellent. That’s around 35,000 people who left a five-star review. 23% of reviews left a four-star review, around 13,000 people.

Considering most people leave a review when their experience was negative, those statistics are incredible. Out of all those Noom reviews on Trustpilot, only 3% were one-star — and most of these stem from technical issues or billing problems.
The most common criticism we identified by those who left a four-star review was commenting on how the weekly check-ins with their Noom Coach weren’t all that helpful and more frequent communication would be more useful.
Interestingly, we noticed a trend in this feedback with some users mentioning they were however their Support Group — consisting of people who enrolled in Noom at the same time as them — was a valuable alternative for information and motivation.
Others complained that the calorie-tracking feature isn’t as advanced as other tools out there like MyFitnessPal. This is because Noom doesn’t focus on things like macronutrients and is instead there to help you build a a healthy, balanced diet.
These criticisms are enough to knock off a star, writes Janet Hendrickson, but should not discourage anyone from trying Noom. Considering there is a no-strings-attached Noom free trial on offer, there’s no harm in taking it for a spin to decide yourself.
